NURSERY

At VERTIS, our cultivation process begins in our state-of-the-art clone room, where precision and plant health are our top priorities. We propagate all of our genetics in-house, taking cuttings directly from carefully selected mother plants that are maintained for vigor, stability, and consistency. Each mother is monitored closely by our experienced cultivation team to ensure strong genetic integrity across every generation.

Once clones are cut, they’re housed in a highly controlled environment designed to encourage healthy root development and uniform growth. But we don’t stop at just cloning, each new round undergoes in-house testing to ensure cleanliness and plant health before being transferred into veg. This extra layer of quality control ensures that every plant entering our system is free from pests, pathogens, and contamination, giving us a strong foundation for success in every room.

By maintaining our entire genetic program under one roof, we’re able to guarantee consistent, clean starts for every crop, a key reason why VERTIS flower maintains such high standards in both potency and quality across each harvest.

NURSERY ROOM

Our cultivation process includes a dedicated 25,000 sq ft nursery where all plants are transitioned into the vegetative stage before moving into flower. This expansive, climate-controlled space allows us to properly scale and maintain plant health on a large scale while giving each strain the tailored attention it needs to thrive.

Our experienced cultivation team closely monitors every stage of veg, focusing on plant structure, nutrient uptake, and overall vigor. We track the progress of each strain to ensure it meets our strict quality benchmarks before entering any flowering room. This careful observation allows us to identify any issues early and maintain consistent performance across all production cycles.

The nursery serves as a critical checkpoint in our process, ensuring that only the healthiest, strongest plants move forward into flowering. It’s part of what allows VERTIS to maintain high-quality flower production every two weeks, with each harvest reflecting our commitment to precision and plant integrity.

MOTHER ROOM

Our mother room is the foundation of our genetics program. Each mom is carefully selected and housed in its own designated space to ensure strain integrity and prevent cross-contamination. We maintain strict environmental controls and monitor every plant closely for health, vigor, and consistency.

To preserve the genetic strength and vitality of each strain, we only take clones from our mother plants twice before retiring them. This ensures that every clone we produce is derived from the healthiest, most robust mothers — resulting in vigorous plants with strong yields and consistent terpene profiles.

CULTIVATION

At VERTIS, our cultivation operation is built on consistency, innovation, and experience. With over 72 unique cannabis strain varieties in rotation, our cultivation program is designed to offer a diverse and reliable supply of premium flower year-round.

Our team harvests every two weeks, producing over 39,000 pounds of finished flower annually, ensuring a steady stream of high quality product to meet both bulk and branded demand.

Each of our flowering rooms spans 10,000 square feet and holds up to 3,900 plants, all equipped with cutting-edge underlighting technology to promote even canopy development and optimize yields.

We also operate a robust 25,000 square foot nursery, where we cultivate our own genetics as well as propagate strains for our strategic cultivation partners. This allows us to not only maintain consistency across every harvest, but also support innovation through pheno-hunting and new strain development.

Our cultivation methods are rooted in precision and care, from planting through post-harvest, ensuring that every strain delivers on terpene expression, potency, and bag appeal. POST-PROCESSING

DRYING

Our drying process is one of the most critical stages in maintaining premium flower quality. We dry all of our flower for 7–10 days, carefully monitoring environmental conditions like temperature and humidity to ensure an ideal slow dry. This allows the cannabinoids and terpenes to remain intact, preserving the aroma, flavor, and overall potency of each strain.

Our dedicated post-harvest team oversees every batch throughout the drying period, adjusting airflow and controls as needed to prevent over drying or mold risk. By taking a measured, hands-on approach, we ensure that the flower retains its structure, stickiness, and rich terpene profile, never compromising for speed. At VERTIS, this attention to detail in the dry room is part of what sets our flower apart.

TRIMMING

100% HAND-TRIMMED

We take immense pride in hand-trimming 100% of our flower, regardless of size or grade. Our experienced team meticulously trims each bud to maintain its natural shape and integrity, ensuring a premium appearance and smoke every time. We believe that hand-trimming is the only way to preserve trichomes and deliver the exceptional quality our customers have come to expect.

After trimming, every batch of flower undergoes an additional week-long curing process. During this time, we store the product in a controlled environment, allowing the terpene profile to fully develop and enhance. This final step in our post-harvest process helps bring out the flower’s true aroma, flavor, and smoothness, making sure it’s not only visually appealing but also delivers the best possible experience to the end user.

SORTING

Our commitment to quality continues well beyond harvest. Our flower sorting process is designed with precision and care to ensure every bud meets the highest standards, especially for packaged goods where consistency and appearance are key. We understand that when a product is labeled “Bigs,” it should reflect exactly that, top colas with optimal structure, size, and presentation.

Each batch of flower goes through a detailed hand sorting process where our trained team separates buds by size and structure. This allows us to categorize accurately into Bigs, Mids, Smalls, and Popcorn, ensuring every order matches its intended spec. This level of attention to detail guarantees that all flower used in consumer-packaged goods is uniform, visually impressive, and consistent, maintaining the premium experience our brand, and our partners, stand behind.

MANUFACTURING

At VERTIS Manufacturing, we take pride in being a full-spectrum cannabis manufacturing facility capable of handling extraction, cartridge filling, pre-roll production (infused and non-infused), edibles, and product development all under one roof. Our extraction facility at VERTIS is engineered for efficiency, safety, and premium output. At the heart of the operation is our large-format CO₂ extraction machine, capable of producing high-purity extracts at scale while preserving delicate cannabinoids and terpenes. This clean, solvent-free method ensures residual-free oil, ideal for use in vape cartridges, edibles, and top-tier concentrate products. Housed in a purpose-built extraction room with strict environmental controls and advanced filtration systems, our setup allows us to consistently deliver high-potency, true-to-strain extracts — whether for in-house brands or white-label partners.
